Quanzhou No.7 Middle School began on the premises of Tianhou Temple in May, 1931, as the private “ Huiming Middle School and was renamed Quanzhou No.7 Middle School and went public in 1956. The school now is one of Fujian ’s Model and first-level qualified schools, with 72 classes, 3516 students and 418 staff. Since the reform and open-up policy, the school has received 15 national and 70 provincial awards in everything from Provincial Model School for 10 successive years, Chinese International Promotion Base School, Base School to Education and Research Institute of Qinghua University, Sino-American Education and Exchange Co-school, Provincial Leading School of Quality-oriented Education, Provincial Sample School of Senior High School New Curriculum Experiment, National Athletics Model School, Provincial Key Model School for Science and Technology Education etc.

The school enjoys an intelligently and morally excellent teaching staff, 100% with bachelor degree, 34 with master’s degree, 59 key teachers of provincial and municipal level and 25 science course Olympic competition coaches.
