这个六月，全网最火的剧，非《隐秘的角落》莫属。这部剧改编自网络作家“紫金陈”的人气小说《坏小孩》，故事讲述三个小孩在爬山游玩时，无意中用相机拍摄下一起杀人案件，而他们的命运也因此改变。

The skillfully shot online series has more of a cinematic feel. The whole cast, from leading roles to passing cameos, all boast excellent acting chops. Besides, the details studded in every episode are full of metaphors.

Most directors would list working with kids and animals among their biggest challenges, but inThe Bad Kidsthere's nothing to suggest this was the case. The casting team was successful in selecting the three children who play Zhu Chaoyang, a good student who always gets the top scores in his grade exams, and his two unlikely pals, Yan Liang and Pupu, who escape from an orphanage. Their performances are more polished than some adult actors.

导演们经常说最怕拍小孩和动物，但在《隐秘的角落》中却没有任何迹象表明情况确实如此。选角团队成功地选出了三个孩子，朱朝阳是一名考试成绩总是名列前茅的好学生，而严良和普普则是从孤儿院逃出来的两个看似不太对头的朋友。他们的戏之精彩，能让一些成年演员自愧弗如。

 

There are floods of views and opinions online that aim to interpret the ending, which is reminiscent of Ang Lee'sLife of Pi. After reading some of these posts, I felt horrified at the details that I neglected to spot.

目前，关于这部剧的结局，网上有太多的观点和看法，这让人联想起李安的《少年派的奇幻漂流》。读完其中一些结局猜测，我对一些曾经忽略掉的细节感到彻骨寒意。

 

But there is one detail that I didn't miss. It's that Joe Cacaci, the script's director, is the only English name that appears in the credits. In previous interviews, director Qiao Shuang has mentioned Cacaci is from Hollywood, cooperating with three Chinese scriptwriters on the tale.

但有一个细节，我没有忽略，那就是片头出现了唯一的一个英文名字：剧本总监乔·卡卡奇。在此前的采访中，导演辛爽曾提到过与另外三位编剧合作的是一位来自好莱坞的编剧，乔·卡卡奇。

 

I believe the drama shows a good way of cooperating with foreign talent. In previous years, most Sino-Foreign co-productions just succeeded in the visual effects department, but failed in the storytelling, probably due to cultural differences. However, given that suspense thrillers mostly examine the complexity of the human condition, it is perhaps a genre where the cultural similarities outweigh the differences.

在我看来，这部剧体现了中外人才合作的一个好方向。早几年，中外合作大多是在特效技术方面取得成功，但是可能因为文化差异，在叙事层面却失败了。然而，鉴于悬疑剧以剖析复杂的人性为主，在这一体裁里文化相似性或许大于文化差异。
